比较常见的是，在钯金外面包上一层铂金，然后当作铂金出售。由于钯金在物理化学上和铂金的相似性，这种方法肉眼很难分辨出来。甚至连火试金法、X射线测金法对这种假金饰品也不能准确分辨，只有使用破坏性检测结合X射线测金法才可能鉴别。近期，在三站市场便破获一起“假铂金”案，替投诉者挽回重大损失。[骗术网http://www.caihongtiantang.cn]
